Kauai is one of our favorite places to visit not only for the beaches and the hiking, but the food is also incredible. Some of the best food we’ve had has been in Kauai. 1. Kalalea Juice Hale
Topping the list is Kalalea Juice Hale. These are the best açaí bowls we’ve had anywhere. We like them so much we’ve gone multiple times while on the island. Get the King Kong bowl. Located on the east side of Kauai.

2. Da Crack
This is just a little walk-up counter with no indoor or outdoor seating. Great for lunch. Most people take it to go or grab a seat on the sidewalk to eat their meal. I recommend the chipotle garlic shrimp burrito. These are huge so you could share one between two people. Located near Poipu Beach.
3. Sleeping Giant Grill
They’ve got great plates and fish tacos. Good for a casual dinner. Located on the east side of the island.
4. Puka Dog
Good spot for lunch located near Poipu Beach. Check them out for their unique take on the classic hot dog.
5. Anake’s Juice Bar
This juice bar is in a grocery store, but the açaí bowls are great! They have a few tables you can sit at to eat your lunch. Good place to stop on your way to or from Waimea Canyon.

6. Ishihara Market
Another grocery store stop, but they have the best poke bowls we’ve had on any island. Head to the back of the grocery store and order from the counter. They’ve also got malasadas in the fridge if you haven’t tried this Hawaiian dessert yet! Good place to stop on your way to or from Waimea Canyon.
7. Brennecke’s Beach Broiler
Great spot for a casual beachfront dinner. Located near Poipu Beach.

8. Lava Lava Beach Club
The food is pretty good here but the draw is the location. You eat at tables on the sand right on the beach. One of the better dinner restaurants on the east side of Kauai.

10. Rum Fire
Located in the Sheraton hotel near Poipu Beach. Nicer dinner spot, you’ll need reservations to eat here. Make sure you make them around sunset and request a table by the windows to get a great view of the sun setting over the water while you eat!
